BearWolf Books specializes in illustrated fantasy, mythology, and books for young readers.

Inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite community and William Morris’s Kelmscott Press, Catherine K. Gyllerstrom founded BearWolf Books in the winter of 2018. Based in historic Morristown, New Jersey, our offices are located on the grounds of the old Scribner Estate, where publisher Charles Scribner housed his authors while they wrote for his company.
“I have always dreamed of recreating the deep relationship between artist, author, and publisher that existed during the late nineteenth century,” reveals Catherine Gyllerstrom. “At BearWolf, our primary goal is to bring about the best possible version of each artist and author’s vision to create a complete work of art.”
